Spruce plank floor
Spruce is a classic Swedish species of wood, being the most common tree in Sweden. Spruce is similar in hardness, to pine and Douglas fir. As it’s without core, it’s quite lighter in colour. The lighter colour of the spruce is well suited to those who want a paler Scandinavian floor.
The most common surface treatment of spruce is lye followed by soaping or lye followed by hard wax oil. A soaped floor gives a very lovely feeling and the durability of the floor builds up over time and gradually grays. However, this requires more work by the customer who needs to maintain it continuously to get increased hardness and counteract stains. The alternative to soaping is lye with hard wax oil on top that provides extra protection against dirt. This option does not require as much maintenance from the customer. Through this combination, you can achieve a similar shade to the soaped floor through our specially made white lye in combination with a white pigmented hard wax oil as a finishing treatment.

Price list – spruce plank floor
Our solid spruce wooden floors are sold both in full length and in descending lengths. Descending lengths means that they are delivered in different lengths within the dimensions above. The different lengths make the floor look more vibrant. We can also deliver varying widths of the plank or a fixed width, within the range below. We do not always have all dimensions in stock, so please check with us what we can currently offer. If you want a specific width or length, the lead time may be a little longer. This therefore means that the lead time can vary from anything between a few weeks up to several months.
Our wooden floors are already sanded, which otherwise often happens after installation, so what is added to the prices below is surface treatment, shipping and installation. We also offer surface treated floors if desired. Minimum order volume is 40 m2. The prices are inclusive of VAT.

Choice of surface treatment
The most common procedure is to have a natural or light surface treatment for your spruce plank flooring. We at Kullaberg Flooring recommend hard wax oil or lye in combination with hard wax oil for your spruce floor. This increases the hardness and will keep the colour lighter over time. Another alternative is lye treatment with soaping, which is really beautiful but at the same time very sensitive, as it requires a lot of maintenance.
